Williams' way out
Coventry defender Paul Williams has been given a free transfer by the First Division outfit.

The 30-year-old, a 750,000 signing from Derby six years ago, has made 198 appearances and scored one goal for the Highfield Road club.

Chairman Bryan Richardson told the club's official website: "It is a mutual decision. We have adequate cover in central defence.

"Gary Breen and Mo Konjic are playing well together and we also have Richard Shaw and young Calum Davenport, who appears to have a bright future."
