Robson in Coventry frame
Robson watched Coventry beat Sheffield United
Bryan Robson has been linked with the vacant manager's job at Coventry City.
The former Middlesbrough boss was in the stands at Bramall Lane as the Sky Blues beat Sheffield United on Saturday. And the ex-England captain's representatives have been in contact with the Highfield Road club, according to the Sunday Mirror. If Robson did get the job, he would be replacing his former Manchester United team-mate Gordon Strachan. Nilsson happy But chairman Bryan Richardson has promised to give caretaker manager Roland Nilsson a chance to prove he can do the job on a permanent basis. Nilsson himself is playing down his own claims for the post. "I'm finding it all right at the moment. You just have to wait and see how things are going before you can say 'I can do this or be the manager in the future'." But he added that he was delighted with Coventry's display in their 1-0 win over Sheffield United. "I am pleased the way my players performed because we had a very tough game on Tuesday. "We looked tired. But after 50 minutes we picked it up again, and I thought we did very well." Nilsson confirmed that Julian Joachim had suffered a recurrence of his ankle injury during the game.
