Bristol City's Tom Williams keen on Colchester move
Williams has played international football for Cyprus
On-loan Colchester United full-back Tom Williams is keen on making the move to Essex permanent after accepting that he will leave Bristol City in January.
"Definitely, without a doubt," said 30-year-old Williams, who only joined City from Peterborough on a six-month contract in the summer.
"It's down to my agent to find me clubs interested, then we'll discuss what options I've got and go from there.
"I just won't be extending my deal at Bristol City, I know that," he added.
"So, from 1 January, I'll be looking to sign somewhere else.
"It's good to play where you're wanted and to get your best football you have to be happy. So there's all those things to consider."
Williams, who went out on loan at Colchester on 30 September, has made nine appearances during his loan spell, scoring once.
The much-travelled 30-year-old, signed by Steve Coppell (who then resigned 11 days later), has managed just 17 minutes in a Bristol City shirt, when he came on as a substitute against Ipswich Town in August.
