Colchester United boss Geraint Williams has appointed his former Derby team-mate Mick Harford as his assistant manager, reports BBC Essex.
Harford played with Geraint Williams at Derby in the early 1990s
Harford, 47, has been out of football since he was sacked as Rotherham manager in December 2005.
He had previously been assistant boss at Swindon, Nottingham Forest and Luton, and had coached at Wimbledon.
He also had a spell in caretaker charge of Forest in December 2004 following Joe Kinnear's resignation.
