Blatsis set for U's exit
Colchester United boss Steve Whitton has resigned himself to losing Con Blatsis, who is close to sealing a move to the Far East.

Blatsis impressed after signing from Derby County in March and the Us chief admits it "is a real shame" the 24-year-old will not be staying at Layer Road.

"I'm certain that Con won't be coming back," Whitton told the club's official website.

"I'm waiting to speak to his agent to confirm this, but the last time we spoke it seemed that he is lining up a deal in the Far East which is going to give him decent money.

"With our goals-against record, we had identified that as our main problem, and it's a real shame."
