Manager Brown departs Bully Wee

Clyde have announced that manager John Brown has left the club, who currently sit bottom of the Second Division.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Clyde FC can confirm tonight (Saturday) that John Brown has left his position as manager.

"The club will release further details in the coming days."

The announcement was made shortly after Clyde's 3-1 home defeat to East Fife, which left the Bully Wee three points adrift of Arbroath.

Former Rangers defender Brown took over the managerial reins at Broadwood Stadium in January 2008 following the resignation of Colin Hendry.

He led Clyde to First Division survival via the play-offs but the club were relegated at the end of the 2008/09 season after finishing bottom of Division One.

So far this season, Clyde have recorded only three wins from 15 games and have played one game less than ninth-place Arbroath.
