Brown gets two-match dugout ban

Clyde manager John Brown
Brown will be absent from the dugout for Clyde's next two games

Clyde manager John Brown has been ordered to serve a two-match suspension after being sent to the stand during the recent victory over Stenhousemuir.

Brown will not be allowed in the technical area for the games against Stirling Albion and Alloa Athletic.

Meanwhile, defender Scott Gair, 19, has left Clyde after asking to be released from his contract.

The club have also moved to discount the possibility of former Rangers player Scott Nisbet joining Clyde.

Nisbet, who plays with Arniston Rangers, recently featured as a guest for Clyde in a friendly with Manchester United.

Director of football Neil Watt issued a statement on the Clyde website, which read: "The manager invited Scott to guest for the club on Sunday.

"Despite what has been reported, there was never any intention for Clyde FC to sign the player, who is contracted to another football club."

However, the Cumbernauld club are giving a trial to striker Bob Davidson.
