Inverness Caledonian Thistle have signed 24-year-old striker Dougie Imrie from Clyde for about £50,000.
Imrie was playing junior football two years ago
Imrie, who can also play on the wing and joined Clyde from junior outfit Lanark United in January 2006, has signed until 2010.
The forward's contract was due to end in the summer, when Clyde risked losing him for nothing.
Imrie has scored 14 goals, including five this season, in 73 appearances for the Cumbernauld club.
Inverness turned to Imrie after having approaches rejected for Livingston winger Graham Dorrans and Ross County striker Andy Barrowman.
West Brom beat Inverness to the signing of Dorrans, being willing to pay £250,000 and leave him with Livi until the summer.
Meanwhile, County player-manager Derek Adams told BBC Sport that Barrowman would not be leaving the Second Division club unless they received a "massive offer".
