Clyde have signed 19-year-old central defender Dan Kirkup from Carlisle United on loan.
He follows 20-year-old Port Vale winger Joe Cardle in moving to the Scottish First Division club until January.
Clyde manager Colin Hendry told his club website: "Both players are highly thought of at their respective clubs and have a bright future in the game.
"I'm really pleased to get these guys in. They've both played at a good level down south."
Kirkup had yet to break into the first-team at Carlisle but made 11 appearances on loan to Southport last season.
Cardle has made three stars and 14 substitute appearances for Port Vale.
"Joe can play on either wing and will give us options," added Hendry.
"Joe will certainly help us to create chances in the final third, while Danny is a 6ft 4in right-sided defender who will add some strength and height to the team and we need that at the moment."
