Robert Page won 41 caps before calling time on his Welsh career
Defender Robert Page has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Chesterfield when his Huddersfield deal expires in the summer.
Spireites manager Lee Richardson failed in a bid to sign the 33-year-old before he joined the Terriers in January.
"I am really delighted that we have eventually got our man as I expect him to make a major impact on the team," Richardson told the club website.
Meanwhile, striker Steve Fletcher has confirmed he will be leaving the club.
Fletcher, 35, was offered a contract for a further season at Saltergate, but the former Bournemouth man said he wanted to return to the South Coast for family reasons.
"I am disappointed to leave because I love Chesterfield and the welcome I have received," he said.
"It has been a difficult decision but in the end the distance away from my family is just too far.
"I want to continue my football career but within a reasonable distance of my family home."
