Chester City manager Mark Wright has agreed a new two-year deal to remain in charge at the Deva Stadium.
Club chairman Stephen Vaughan confirmed the news at a supporters' forum on Wednesday night.
Wright, 42, left the club in August 2004 but returned for a second spell as manager in February and has since led Chester to League Two safety.
Meanwhile, midfielder Stewart Drummond is expected to join Shrewsbury Town after rejecting a new deal at Chester.
