Chester defender Sean Hessey has been handed a five-match suspension after being found guilty of violent conduct by the Football Association.
Hessey will miss the first five games of the 2006/07 season
The charge - which Hessey had denied - related to their 2-1 home defeat by Stockport on 11 February.
Hessey was also fined £700, and his suspension will start at the beginning of the 2006/07 season.
The 27-year-old has made 58 league and cup appearances since joining Chester from Blackpool in the summer of 2004.
