Centre-back Shane Duff has agreed a new one-year contract to stay on at Cheltenham Town.

"I'm delighted," boss Martin Allen told the club's website. "Shane was superb towards the end of last season and is an important member of the team."

The 27-year-old was the clubs' only out-of-contract player to be offered a new deal.

Duff joined Town straight from school and has played 208 games since his debut in December 2002.

He made only 23 appearances in last season's relegation campaign but impressed on his return from an Achilles injury in January.
