Chelsea's Pizarro moves to Bremen

Pizarro enjoyed two successful seasons at Bremen before moving to Munich

Chelsea striker Claudio Pizarro has joined German side Werder Bremen on a year-long loan deal.

The 29-year-old had been targeted by Premier League newcomers Hull and Stoke, but the Peru international has opted for a switch to the Bundesliga.

He signed for the Blues last summer from Bayern Munich, where he played for six seasons after joining from Bremen.

Pizarro scored on his debut at home to Birmingham, and went on to make 31 appearances, scoring just once more.
