Cole eyes return against Valencia
Joe Cole
Cole has not played since the end of November
Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole hopes to make his comeback in Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final against Valencia after four months out injured.

Cole has been sidelined since November with a stress fracture of the foot.

The 25-year-old England international told Chelsea TV: "I feel my body is so close to being absolutely perfect.

"I have been out a long time but hopefully I can hit the ground running. I will do what I can, even if it is only for 10 or 15 minutes."

It was feared Cole would miss the whole season after picking up the injury in Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford at the end of November.

But he is keen to help his side in their chase for glory in the Premiership and Champions League.

"It's not nice being injured - you feel like you are letting your manager and the players down," Cole added.

"Everyone's been great though and I've fought every day to get back - and you get your rewards.

"Some said I wouldn't play this season but I want to come back and make an impact - and hopefully that'll be on Wednesday."
