Chelsea duo set for Milk Cup draw

Arjen Robben will be at the Milk Cup draw at the Odyssey

Chelsea stars Arjen Robben and Mikael Forssell will be the guest stars at this week's draw for the prestigious NI International Milk Cup in Belfast.

Chelsea are sending a team to the tournament and chairman Victor Leonard said that Jose Mourinho was keen to have some of his players involved.

"We've been told Mourinho rates the Milk Cup pretty high up the club's youth development," said Leonard.

"He has a passionate interest in the academy and progress of young players."

Forssell, along with Joe Cole and Damien Duff, are just three Stamford Bridge players who have played in the tournament which kicks-off on 1 August in the North West of the province.

"We are thrilled Mourinho has insisted on Robben and Forssell joining us. Mikael is one of several Chelsea players to have played in the tournament.

"He was with HJK Helsinki some years ago and jumped at the chance to represent Chelsea here.

"He has great memories of his previous visit to Northern Ireland.

"Once again some of the biggest club sides in world football are represented in the Premier competition.

"We have representatives from as far away as China, America, Mexico, Russia and New Zealand."
