Chelsea boss awaits ban details
Jose Mourinho
Chelsea are expecting full details of coach Jose Mourinho's Uefa-imposed touchline ban for the two Champions League games with Bayern Munich.

They are still uncertain when Mourinho will be parted from his players.

Club spokesman Simon Greenberg told Chelsea TV: "We are led to believe it will be from arrival at the stadium.

"That is one of the things that will be clarified - exactly where, how and when he can rejoin the team again - when we receive the written reasons."

And Greenberg added: "We need to wait to see what the exact reasoning is behind the ban and any technical details that come from it."

There are reports Uefa will detail an official to stay with Mourinho during his two-match suspension, imposed for incidents during the first leg of the Champions League meeting with Barcelona in the Nou Camp on 23 February.

Mourinho claimed he saw Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard entering referee Anders Frisk's dressing room during the half-time interval, an allegation contested by Uefa.

Mourinho revealed he used wireless equipment to keep in touch with the dug-out when he was banned from the touchline for the Uefa Cup semi-final against Lazio two years ago, a suspension imposed for preventing an opposing player taking a quick throw-in.

It now seems certain Uefa will assign Mourinho a "minder" to ensure there is no repeat.

Mourinho was also fined £9,000 for his latest offence, while Chelsea were fined £33,300. Assistant Steve Clarke and security officer Les Miles have been reprimanded for their conduct.
