MOURINHO'S THOUGHTS
|
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho admitted they were fortunate to be 3-0 up at half-time against Norwich as the Blues went six points clear in the league.
Mourinho said: "I'm happy with the result, the commitment and the second-half display, but not the first half.
"We were 3-0 up at the break but that is the way football is sometimes, a contradiction, because they surprised us how well they played at the start.
"But we are top at Christmas and this will give the players confidence."
Mourinho singled out Frank Lampard for praise after the midfielder completed his record 126th consecutive game in the Premiership.
He added: "Lampard is great. The way he plays is the way he trains, so his motivation to play is his motivation to train.
"He's a strong boy mentally and physically and if he steers clear of injuries and suspensions he could set a record that is impossible to catch.
"It's unlikely he will get banned because he's such a fair player."
