Second half pleases Ranieri
Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri
Manager Claudio Ranieri was delighted with the way his Chelsea side improved after the break to claim a 2-0 victory over Charlton.

"In the first half, they put us under a lot of pressure, a number of long, dangerous balls and shots from outside the area," the Italian said.

"But we managed to keep an important clean sheet in the first half.

"In the second half we were more compact and we slowed down the tempo by keeping the ball on the floor."
