Leboeuf appeals for Monaco switch
![]() Leboeuf has tasted success with Chelsea
Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has re-iterated his desire to leave the London club for AS Monaco.
The French international defender believes he no longer has a future at Stamford Bridge and has appealed to move. "I know I do not have a future at Chelsea and it is time to move on. I think I might have played my last game for the club," he told the The Mirror. Leboeuf, who was was 33 on Monday, wants to join the French champions but they have yet to match Chelsea's asking price, reported to be £3m.
Chelsea are interested in swapping Leboeuf for Monaco's highly-rated defender Philippe Christanval, according to the French newspaper L'Equipe's website. "Chelsea are keen to have both Christanval and Marcel Desailly in their central defence," L'Equipe said. The paper reports that Chelsea are seeking 22-year-old French underage international Christanval plus cash in exchange for Leboeuf.
