Charlton boss Phil Parkinson says he is relishing the challenge of a managerial baptism in the promotion play-offs.

The Addicks are at Swindon in the first leg of their semi-final on Friday, with the return at The Valley on Monday.

Parkinson told BBC Radio Kent: "I've played in the play-offs but I've not been involved as a manager.

"So I'm relishing the challenge. An exciting game for me would be 0-0 at Swindon and 1-0 at our place, which I'm sure our supporters would like."

He added: "In the play-offs the quality of the football is at a higher level, but there can be tension. We're going to Swindon to set our stall out and put in a good performance."

Both league matches between the two teams this season finished in draws, with Charlton scoring late equalisers.

Miguel Llera scored a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser in the 2-2 draw at The Valley on 26 December, while skipper Nicky Bailey earned the Addicks a 1-1 draw at the County Ground on 6 February.
