Charlton will have the option to extend Waghorn's deal by two months
Charlton Athletic have signed Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn on a one-month loan.
The 18-year-old's spell will end on Monday, 15 December but the Addicks will have the option to re-sign him for an extra two months.
Last week Addicks manager Alan Pardew said he intended to bring in new loan signings after midfielder Darren Ambrose returned to Ipswich on loan.
Waghorn will be available for selection on Saturday against Sheffield United.
The teenager was a key figure in Sunderland's FA Youth Cup success last season, and made his full debut in the Premier League against Manchester United in December 2007.
