Charlton manager Alan Pardew admitted his team had more chances but again came out losers at the weekend.
The Addicks boss believes their 3-2 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers somewhat reflects their season.
Pardew told BBC London 94.9: "Their keeper had to work harder than ours but yet we've come out losers and on too many occasions thats happened."
"We certainly deserved to be leading that game at 80 minutes and we found ourselves chasing it," he added.
The manager believes his team dominated the match but have to become more consistent in their game and added that's it's difficult to talk to players after defeats like Saturday's.
He said: "We've got good characters in that dressing room and we'll re-group and hopefully be ready by Wednesday."
