Pringle contract boost
Pringle broke his leg in only his second game on loan
Former Grimsby loanee Martin Pringle has seen his injury nightmare end after being offered a new contract at Charlton.
The one-time Sweden international had feared his career was over when he broke a leg during his loan spell at Blundell Park last season. Pringle's leg was shattered in two places following a tackle from Stockport's Dave Challinor in only his second game for the Mariners. At the time Charlton threatened legal action against Challinor, while Pringle began to face up to the possibility of a future outside of the game. However, the season has now ended on a bright note for the 31-year-old striker after Addicks manager Alan Curbishley offered him the chance to stay at The Valley. |
