Marc Crosas targets Celtic Scottish Cup glory

Crosas believes the Scottish Cup is Celtic's last chance to win a trophy

Midfielder Marc Crosas believes the Scottish Cup is Celtic's last chance to salvage something from their season.

Celtic trail Rangers by 13 points in the league and visit Kilmarnock in the quarter finals of the cup on Saturday.

"When you play for Celtic you have the demand to win all of the games and to win titles," Crosas told BBC Scotland.

"The way it's been going this season, it's the only chance maybe we've got to win a trophy so we have the pressure on us - but I think we always have."

Celtic's last visit to Rugby Park in February ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Glasgow side, but manager Tony Mowbray insists there is no extra pressure on him to win the Scottish Cup simply because of the club's poor showing in the league.

We've got 11 games I think left to go in the league and we'll keep fighting on that front and try to win them all of course

Celtic manager Tony Mowbray

The Glasgow side has won the famous cup 34 times and finished runners-up 18 times.

Mowbray has refused to concede this season's league title, despite the gap at the top of the table.

"We've got 11 games left to go in the league and we'll keep fighting on that front and try to win them all," said Mowbray.

"Every year this club tries to win the Scottish Cup because it plays such a big part in its history and we'll try to do the same this year."
