Celtic midfielder Scott Brown is to undergo ankle surgery - but aims to feature in next month's Champions League qualifiers.
New Celtic manager Tony Mowbray faces his first qualifying match on 28 or 29 July and will be hoping Brown is fit for the crucial double header.
Brown, 23, was last season named the PFA Scotland Player of the Year.
And the Scotland midfielder has been a first-team regular since moving from Hibs for £4.4m in 2007.
