Barcelona exact revenge on Celtic
Just eight months after Celtic put Barcelona out of the Uefa Cup, the pair faced one another again in the 2004/05 Champions League.
Celtic favourite Henrik Larsson, now at Barcelona, scored for the Catalans in their 3-1 win at Parkhead.
But the SPL champions were able to hold their heads high after the return leg in the Nou Camp, where John Hartson equalised after Samuel Eto'o had opened the scoring.
A goalless draw in Glasgow against AC Milan and a 1-0 home win against Shakhtar Donetsk were the only other highlights for Celtic in the campaign, but poor away form against these sides guaranteed an early exit in Martin O'Neill's final season as manager.
