Celtic reach Uefa Cup Final
John Hartson scores a crucial goal in Vigo, Larsson scores his first in the Uefa Cup Final and dejection as Porto lift the trophy

With Martin O'Neill at the helm, Celtic headed to Spain to play Celta Vigo in the third round of the 2002/03 Uefa Cup.

They set off with a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, courtesy of Henrik Larsson.

Celta Vigo were difficult opponents and won the match 2-1, but John Hartson's strike meant Celtic advanced on away goals to a fourth round tie against Stuttgart.

The Bundesliga side, then Liverpool and Boavista were beaten as Celtic progressed to face Porto in the final of the Uefa Cup.

Thousands of Celtic fans travelled to Seville for the match where, despite the heroics of Larsson, Celtic lost 3-2 after extra time.
