Title dream not over for Nakamura

Shunsuke Nakamura challenges Lee McCulloch at Ibrox

Midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura has set a target of winning all eight remaining games as Celtic aim to overhaul Rangers' six-point lead in the SPL.

Celtic have played one game more than their Glasgow rivals but host Rangers in two of the remaining fixtures.

"We will never give up hope," said the Japanese star. "We must now win both home games against Rangers.

"In fact, we have to win all the remaining 'cup finals' we face in the league this season."

Rangers are in pole position after Saturday's 1-0 win over Celtic at Ibrox.

The visitors started the game strongly but faded after Kevin Thomson netted on the stroke of half-time.

Nakamura, last season's SPFA and football writers' player of the year, lasted 90 minutes despite picking up a foot knock.

The playmaker missed all of November and December with a knee problem but is unsure how serious his latest injury is.

"It's sore at the moment," he said, "but I don't know exactly what the problem is or if it will stop me training."
