Celtic chairman John Reid recognises that the club are well-placed to progress after the announcement of the latest financial results.
"We are not a selling club," he told BBC Scotland's Sportsound.
"The fans want success immediately and tomorrow - the key is to combine success with good business sense.
"Gordon Strachan doesn't need me to talk for him after winning two league titles in a row and getting Celtic to the last-16 in the Champions League."
The Glasgow club was recently named 17th richest in the world.
And although Reid recognises that there are financial limitations compared to English sides, he feels Celtic are doing all they can to emphasise their strengths.
"You're always two or three games away from a crisis here but these are good (financial) results for us.
"Last year was the best for the club but we've had fewer home games this year," he added.
"Peter Lawwell is running the company and Gordon Strachan is running the team - they are very important to this club, and they are doing a great job."
Reid feels the club are firmly on track, ahead of a crunch Champions League meeting with Barcelona on Wednesday.
"We always want to retain our stature, like with games against Barcelona.
"As a club are where we are but we always want to extend Celtic's reputation.
"We have a great reach globally with Shunsuke Nakamura in Japan, Scott McDonald in Australia and the best goalkeeper in the world in my opiniion in Arthur Boruc from Poland."
Speaking of his recent installation as chairman, which attracted criticism for a section of fans, he said: "I love this job, and I will take any criticism that comes when we're not doing well - that always comes with the job as a chairman."
