McGeady shows off his player of the month award
|
Celtic's Aiden McGeady is the Clydesdale Bank Premier League player of the month for November.
The Republic of Ireland international midfielder has been in great form for the league leaders.
Celtic only played two SPL matches last month, winning at Kilmarnock and beating Aberdeen, with McGeady on target in a 3-0 scoreline.
McGeady also scored the vital goal in the 1-0 Champions League triumph over Benfica at Celtic Park.
Celtic have since secured their passage into the last 16 of Europe's top tournament and McGeady would be pleased to avoid in-form Arsenal.
As a second placed team, Celtic will face a group winner in the knockout phase.
To finish first in their section, the Gunners need to beat Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday and hope Sevilla fail to win in Prague against Slavia.
"I think I would like to avoid Arsenal because they are capable of beating anybody right now," said McGeady.
"Parkhead is a formidable fortress at the minute but I think Arsenal could come here, have 70% of the ball and just play us off the park, to be honest.

"They are undoubtedly one of the strongest teams in Europe at the moment.
"If you look around every area of their team they are all either fast, fit or strong.
"I think they are up there with the very best at the moment and yet they are also such a young team.
"From one to 11, every player, in every position, has what it takes to become one of the top talents in Europe."
