Gordon Strachan said Celtic were "good value" for their win

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan praised his side for "plugging away" to secure a 1-0 win over a stubborn Aberdeen.
"We were patient today, we kept playing and trying to break them down," Strachan said.
"Aberdeen were fit, technically good, well-organised. When it went to 1-0 I thought it could've been a few more," the Celtic boss added.
"Goals make a difference and we kept plugging away and didn't resort to long balls. We were good value for our win."
Strachan said it would have been "criminal" if Russell Anderson's goalbound header would have brought Aberdeen an equaliser in injury-time.
Praising Artur Boruc for a magnificent save, Strachan added: "I think it was their first effort on goal."
