Celtic manager Gordon Strachan believes he has unearthed a star in midfielder Evander Sno after the 19-year-old impressed against St Mirren.
Evander Sno must wait to become a Celtic regular
Sno made his first start since signing from Feyenood in the summer as Celtic won 2-0 in the CIS Cup on Tuesday.
And Strachan said: "He showed he's a top player and you have to remember he is the youngest player in our team.
"He needs to learn the tricks of the trade in the centre of midfield, but he used to play at centre-half for years."
But Sno is likely to have to wait before becoming a regular starter in the Scottish Premier League or European competition.
Strachan admitted that the Dutchman's performances in training suggest he is close to making the breakthrough.
But he added: "There are small things that he needs to work on and we will take it slowly with him."
