Celtic full-back Mark Wilson will be out injured for six weeks with a broken foot suffered against Manchester United in the Champions League.
Mark Wilson was injured against Manchester United
The Scotland Under-21s captain came off after 51 minutes of the Scottish champions' 3-2 defeat at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
He will now miss Saturday's visit of Dunfermline Athletic and next week's first Old Firm game of the season.
Wilson will not now be an option for Scotland's senior team against France.
Celtic captain Neil Lennon has expressed sympathy for Wilson on that front.
Lennon said: "Since coming to Celtic it looks as if Mark has been a Celtic player all his career.
"He's been so consistent and I am sure he was on the verge of the Scotland squad as well.
"It is a major blow for him but I am sure he will come back quickly."
