Captain Neil Lennon has saluted Gordon Strachan's managerial style after he led Celtic to the Scottish Premier League title in his first season.
Celtic lost 5-0 to Artmedia Bratislava in Strachan's first match but they recovered to stroll to the SPL title.
"As a player he had a great football brain and as a manager he has carried that on. He keeps the game as simple as possible," he told BBC Five Live.
"He has worked under some great bosses and picked things up from them."
Lennon said Strachan's man-management skills meant he knew how to get the best out of players.
"Training is good, preparation is good and players respond the right way," added Lennon.
"Considering where we were this time last year and the start that we made, it has been a great season."
