Carlisle United manager John Ward has denied making an offer for Leeds' out-of-favour striker Anthony Elding.
A newspaper report at the weekend claimed Carlisle had bid for the 26-year-old former Boston, Kettering, Stevenage and Stockport forward.
Elding only joined Leeds from Stockport in January, starting just four games.
Ward told BBC Radio Cumbria: "We haven't made an offer for Elding. I am still working hard to sign a couple of new players but it won't be him."
Meanwhile, Carlisle have taken 18-year-old right-back Tyrone Cameron on trial from Fulham this week.
The London-born player was a regular in Fulham's academy and reserve teams last season and was watched by United chief scout Stuart Gray twice last season.
"We're pleased to be able to give him a trial," Ward told the club's official website.
"He's a player that we have known about for a while and a our scouts watched him a couple of times last season as we tracked his progress."
