Carlisle manager Paul Simpson declared himself "delighted" after seeing his side win the Conference play-off final.
The Cumbrians beat Stevenage 1-0 to win promotion to the Football League and Simpson said: "This is magnificent, it is what we've worked so hard for.
"We've defended well and we thoroughly deserved to win, I'm delighted.
"We've had to deal with a lot in the last year since relegation but we showed our character today. We put our heads in and battled for everything."
He added: "We are going to have one hell of a party now to celebrate.
"We weathered what they threw at us and we've got our rewards, and we're well pleased."
