Cardiff City say neither they nor manager Dave Jones have received any approach from Fulham about Jones moving to the Premier League club.
The Bluebirds boss is one of the favourites among several bookmakers to fill the vacant post at Craven Cottage.
Fulham are looking for a new manager after Roy Hodgson left to take over at Liverpool earlier this month.
Ajax manager Martin Jol has turned down the job, while ex-England boss Sven Goran Eriksson is another favourite.
"Neither the club or the manager have received an approach from Fulham football club regarding the vacant managers job at Craven Cottage," said a club statement.
"As ever, he is 100% concentrating on preparing the team for the new season."
Jones is the Championship's longest-serving manager, spending five years at the club and has previously been linked to the Premier League with West Ham United and also Scottish Premier League giants Celtic.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton boss has gradually moulded a Cardiff team capable of fighting for a place in the Premier League.
Last season, Jones guided the Bluebirds to the play-off final but missed out on a top flight place after being beaten 3-2 by Blackpool.
Despite missing out on promotion, it was a remarkable achievement for Jones who was forced to work with a limited budget and under difficult circumstances.
The club was facing winding up orders at the High Court over unpaid tax to Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs.
And on top of that, money from a season ticket offer which was aimed at generating funds for the January transfer window, was used on debts instead which meant Jones was the only manager who did not strengthen his side during the season.
At times, his squad was reduced to the bare bones due to illness, injury and suspension.
Jones vowed not to walk away in January and committed his future to Cardiff in June after meeting new chairman Dato Chan Tien Ghee.
