Cardiff City have signed goalkeeper Michael Oakes on a one-year contract.
Goalkeeper Michael Oakes was released by Wolves in May
The 33-year-old was released by Wolverhampton Wanderers in May and will join up with the Bluebirds for pre-season training in Portugal.
Cardiff manager Dave Jones knows Oakes from his time in charge at Molineux and has handed him the number 13 shirt.
The Bluebirds still intend to sign another, younger keeper to take the number one shirt, although David Forde is also on the books at Ninian Park.
Northwich-born Oakes started his career with Aston Villa, spending time on loan at Scarborough before a £500,000 move to Wolves in 1999.
