Cardiff City have signed ex-Parma forward Andreas Ferretti after a successful trial by the teenager.
The 18-year-old, recommended to City by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, has agreed a two-year deal.
"Andreas looked good on tour, he has something and now he's signed, it's all done and dusted," Cardiff manager Dave Jones told the South Wales Echo.
Northern Ireland midfielder Phil Mulryne also impressed Jones in his trial period and is likely to join.
Darren Purse and David Fernandez are expected to complete their moves to the Bluebirds early this week, with Jamie McCunnie likely to follow.
Ongoing rumours continue to suggest that West Brom and Wales midfielder Jason Koumas will also join Cardiff.
He is unwanted by the Baggies, and, with a possible Everton move now seeming unlikely, Cardiff have re-emerged as favourites to beat Wolves to his recruitment on a season-long loan deal.
Ferretti will make his first appearance as a fully fledged Bluebird in Wednesday's friendly with Udinese at Ninian Park.
