Bluebirds great Baker dies at 84
Billy Baker, the last surviving player to appear for Cardiff City both pre and post-Second World War, has died at the age of 84.

The wing half was a permanent member of the Bluebirds side ever since making his debut as a 17-year-old in 1938.

Baker was a prisoner of war during the 1939-45 conflict, but was able to resume his footballing career and played for another eight seasons.

He scored six goals in 304 league and cup appearances for Cardiff.
