Cardiff boss wins January award
Cardiff City manager Lennie Lawrence
Cardiff collected 10 points from a possible 12 in January
Cardiff City manager Lennie Lawrence has been named the manager of the month for January in the Championship.

Lawrence guided the Bluebirds to three wins and a draw last month, conceding just one goal along the way.

"I'm pleased to have got this, it shows the progress we've made in the last few months," he told the club's website.

"Usually when a manager gets given the award his side loses the next match, but we are going to West Ham on Sunday with plenty of confidence."

Cardiff's unbeaten run has taken lifted them five points clear of the Championship relegation zone.
