Parry pleased for Ledley
Cardiff midfielder Joe Ledley celebrates his goal against West Ham
Cardiff forward Paul Parry was full of praise for Bluebirds team-mate Joe Ledley after seeing him notch his first senior goal in the win over West Ham.

Ledley, 17, has impressed this season after breaking into the first-team.

"It was a great goal by Joe," Parry told BBC Wales. "He has been playing brilliantly recently and he has been creating chances for himself.

"I think it was only a matter of time before he was going to get his first goal - and he has scored a cracker."

City boss Lennie Lawrence was also impressed with the maturity shown by the midfielder during Tuesday's game.

"Joe has an old head on a young pair of shoulders," Lawrence said.

"The biggest thing for us was with five minutes to go and us leading 4-1 a cross comes in for West Ham and Marlon Harweood has stolen in unmarked from the opposite side.

"Joe has seen the danger and run back past Chris Barker to stop him. That was seriously good play."
