Williams extends Cardiff stay
Darren Williams
Sunderland defender Darren Williams will be staying on loan at Cardiff City for another two months.

"I like him," Bluebirds manager Lennie Lawrence told BBC Sport. "I hope this will lead into a permanent deal."

Williams, 27, has played in all five of the Bluebirds' games since joining a month ago.

Lawrence also revealed that 17-year-old Joe Ledley, who made an impressive debut on Tuesday, is likely to play in Saturday's league visit to Millwall.

"You have to be careful with 17-year-olds, but he's a big lad," Lawrence added.

"He wasn't fazed on Tuesday and did alright so it's more likely than less likely he'll stay in."
