Cardiff City manager Lennie Lawrence says his players failed to seize their first-team opportunity in the FAW Premier Cup semi-final loss to Wrexham.

"People had a chance to really make it difficult for me to leave them out but they didn't take it," said Lawrence.

"What I said to them went in one ear and out the other so there weren't many plusses for me in the game.

"Wrexham deserved the draw over 90 minutes, we couldn't take advantage against 10 men in extra time."
