Alcide checks in at Cambridge
Colin Alcide celebrates scoring a goal
John Beck knows Alcide from his Lincoln days
Cambridge manager John Beck has made Colin Alcide his first signing of the summer after initially missing out on him on transfer deadline day.

The 29-year-old joins from Third Division York City for what the U's describe as a "small fee".

Beck said of his new acquisition: "He has good strong pace, he's good in the air and he did score some important goals for me when I was at Lincoln."

Alcide added: "I enjoy centre half and centre forward. I don't really mind."
