Ben Futcher signs new one-year deal at Bury

Futcher has played 136 games for Bury scoring five goals

Bury centre-back Ben Futcher has signed a new one-year deal at Gigg Lane.

The 29-year-old 6ft 7ins defender joined the club in 2007 after being released by Peterborough United.

He struggled with injuries last year as the club were promoted from League Two and spent three months out on loan at Oxford United.

Futcher began his career at Oldham Athletic and has had spells at Stalybridge Celtic, Doncaster Rovers , Lincoln, Boston United and Grimsby.
