Challinor facing three weeks out

Bury defender Dave Challinor will be out of action for up to three weeks after sustaining minor damage to his medial collateral ligaments.

However, fears that Challinor would need surgery have been abated.

Physio Joe Hinnigan told the Shakers website: "Thankfully, a scan showed it is not as bad as first feared but there is some minor damage in there.

"It's one of those injuries where you can't confirm a time scale for return, but three weeks usually does it."
