Peschisolido relief after Cup win

Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido admitted his side were lucky to make it through to the second round of the FA Cup after the 3-2 win over Oxford City.

Ryan Austin's last-gasp header broke the Southern League side's resistance but Peschisolido was far from happy.

"We did not play well and you have to give them all the credit in the world. They were unlucky not to knock us out," Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby.

"I'm delighted we got through because they were excellent and outplayed us."

Oxford looked to have earned a replay through a Jamie Brooks header but Austin scored deep into stoppage time.

Peschisolido added: "They put us under loads of pressure and they passed the ball better than us.

"We dribbled when we should have passed, we passed when we should have dribbled; we just weren't very good.

"But we kept at it. It wasn't pretty we have been working on set-pieces and we finally scored scored from a set-piece so I'm pleased about that.

"But that's pretty much the only positive. We've got through and I'm just pleased to be in the next round because we didn't deserve to be."
