Peschisolido delighted with draw

Peschisolido replaced Roy McFarland as Burton boss in May

Burton manager Paul Peschisolido is overjoyed at the club's away draw at Reading in the Carling Cup.

It is the Brewers' first foray into the competition, having been promoted from the Blue Square Premier last season.

"I'm absolutely delighted," he told BBC Radio Derby. "It is one of the biggest ones we could have got, and I'm just pleased for the players.

"It is their first time in the League Cup, and a great opportunity for someone to make a star of themselves."

Despite the scale of the task ahead Peschisolido is not worried about travelling to the Madejski Stadium.

"Obviously being at home would have been fantastic, but it is a great place for the lads to go and play."

"They'll have the opportunity to pit their wits against a team that has come out of the Premier League not too long ago."

"I hold the cup in high regard. I want to win every game we play, and this is no different."
